We offer fully outfitted Spring turkey hunt, you can expect 2 on 1 guiding by our knowledgeable and experienced guides, delicious home-cooked ranch-style meals, and a relaxing stay in one of our fully furnished and accommodating lodges. The true thrill of these hunts is hearing the birds gobbling on the roost early in the morning and then hearing the return calls get closer and closer while one of our expert guides calls a big strutting tom right up to you.
A typical day of turkey hunting in Texas will begin well before daylight with a quick breakfast (fruit, pastries, and breakfast bars with coffee and/or water) before we head out for the morning hunt. Most of our turkey hunters prefer to start off in close proximity to a turkey roost and sneak into position in the dark to set up decoys in the “fly down” zone. With some soft calls and a little luck, you can coax the turkeys to fly down to your decoys and into position for a shot. If the turkeys don’t cooperate and you don’t get a shot when they fly down, it’s time to “run and gun”, covering the country to locate a hot gobbler. All day hunting is allowed here in Texas during turkey season.
